okay...well i have this gokart and ive been working on it FOREVER now.....and my bro is gonna come paint it up for me on Wednesday . ihad it spraypainted up and everything.but my bro bought a 80 dollar gallon of paint to paint on. i have started to take off the paint.but ihave a few questions.
1. Do i have to take off ALL of the paint...or can he paint over it?
2. Do i have to get all the rust off underneath?
3. whats the best way to get the rust and/or paint off?
PLEASE HELP ME OUT

1. you should try to get it all of. if some stays on thats ok though.
If i was you i would spray it with a primer first so the paint has something better to stick to.
2. no just sand over it like the rest it doesnt matter.
3. use a angle grinder with a wire brush attachment. or if you dont have access to that use really course sandpaper or a wirebrush.

dont have to take all off but rub it back to give grip to new paint or new paint will peel off
you should get the rust off or it will continue to spread (its like a cancer)
