I got in a car accident where my car scraped up against another car. No damage, just traded paint. I have black paint now on my gold/brown car. Can I wash it off with water or some kind of solution?

it may wash off but your best bet is to buff it off, just go to a bodyshop and they should do it pretty cheap or if it aint that bad maybe for free! good luck

I would try ordinary car polish to begin with. You may need to do some heavy rubbing. If that is too slow and/or too much work try "polishing compound" (grittier) or "rubbing compound" (grittier yet again). I would not use a "buffer" (polishing wheel) unless you have experience or you will likely rub through your paint by accident. Rubbing compound and a terrycloth rag will probably get it off.

This will leave your panel looking quite dull so you'll definitely want to polish it with regular car polish to bring back a shine, and it may take lots of rubbing with the polish or maybe more than one polish job to bring back an acceptable luster.

First the only thank you to repair the paint that replaced into rubbed off is to have that section repainted. 2d oxidation would nicely be got rid of by utilising buffing the vehicle. i'm sorry yet thats how that is.
