I am in need of 2 front tires. My car is 3 yrs old, with 19,000 miles on it. The front 2 tires are always low, and I am looking to replace them. What is a way I can check (myself) to see if I need all 4 new tires or just the 2, and is Costco a good place to get them at. I have never had these tires rotated (my bad), and I am just looking for some answers.

Thanks in advance

I have a 96 Lumina Minivan. My daughter left the door open overnight and the battery went dead. We jumped it but it doesn't seem to hold a charge. It will run fine after we get it started but it has been a couple of weeks now and we have had to jump start it 3 times this weekend. When you try to start it we have power for about a minute then the lights go off and it is dead. Do we need a new battery? Someone suggested the alternater but we had a friend test that when this started and he said it was fine. Battery or something else?

I think I got ripped off. My car wouldn't start, it wasn't the battery cause the radio and lights would come on. The mechanic told me it was a gas..something (i forgot) he replaced it and when i asked for the old part back, he said that he would have to charge me extra money to give it back. Is this legal, or right?

It's a relatively small line about 12 inches long and about 1/8 inch thick? Would a rubbing compound work? She's had the 2007 Camry for only two weeks. Would you recommend getting it fixed professionally?

My car temp guage is acting funny. I started my car to check for leaks in the coolant but notice that the fan is not turning. Is the fan of a car always supposed to turn? If it doesn't does that mean the fan belt has broken? Is the car safe to drive 2 miles into town to a garage to have it fixed or should I have it towed or should I see if my neighbor or son can help me replace it?

Ok i don't normally know much about cars. Our car keeps shuting down when my husband clutches in or something like that.

Since it happens mostly when he starts the car and when he first drives I told him that he needs to warm up his car first (especially when its cold). Am i correct?

Or its it something else??

My car is a couple years older than what is listed as e85 compatible. Will it hurt it any? What if I get half e85 and half regular gasoline? I know that in the 1980s ethanol mix was sold for all cars and I never had problems then. (e85 is up to 20 cents less here)

I often control the speed of my car by changing down gears. Is more fuel used as the revs increase?

My car is a 1990s variable-valve timing kinda badboy.

i own a 2000 mitsubishi galant and i have a problem. i took it to a shop because it was squeaking and they told me that everything that was bad was the front crossmember-front right lower control arm, strut, knuckle. i looked under the car and i noticed that the lower front sway bar link bushing bolt with nut is scraping the drive axle causing it to squak when ever i turn compleatly. i know that all these parts are damaged but just what parts are only necesary so that the cars link wont touch the axle. i dont care if other parts are bad i just want for the link and axle to stop touching and causing to squak when i turn

Bought my 92 toyota pu at beginning of summer. Drove all summer long just fine. First time it rained I was leaving for work and noticed a significant loss of power and an intense clicking sound and feeling. similar to an exhaust leak, but i could feel the clicking more than hear it. it quit after driving for about 15 minutes. The power came back, the clicking stopped, it began to drive just fine again.

It has rained a handful of times in the last few weeks, and it does the same thing.

Now it has sat in the rain all weekend, this morning it wouldn't start. It turns over, and if I pump the gas pedal I can smell gas, but will not start. I have tried numerous times today. I have to drive to work tomorrow...help please!

Hi. I have always gotten the maximum "servicing" on my 2003 toyota spyder MR2 car.

But, over the past few months the Service Manager at my auto place told me that I didn't need all that servicing, and that I just need an oil/filter change every few thousand miles or so. (He's a friend of mine, and so he helped me out).

He let me know that it's a rip off to get all that servicing cuz I don't really need it right now. And he told me that when the car needs other service stuff, he'll let me know. But then, he up and quit his job and moved out of state.

So...now I still go get oil/filter changes. But sooner or later I'll need other vital services too. And I don't know what those would be!
Can you tell me WHAT services are important to get? And WHEN I should get these services.

I have about 35,000 mi on my little car! :-)
