Your brake switch is stuck. This can happen after a time due to wear on the moving parts. You can try giving the brake switch a gentle tap with a small piece of wood (not a hammer, please) and see if that works. If it doesn't help, it probably needs to be changed. It is not hard to replace this part but it can be tricky to set it up exactly right. If it's set up with the wrong amount of 'travel' it may come on late or not at all -- or it will come on and stay on...It is one of those jobs where the cost of fitting may be more than the cost of the part, just because of the time it takes to do the R&R (remove and replace) and set it up.
So try tapping it and if no joy, fit a new brake switch -- you can find details of how to set it up by either going on line or checking for the right repair manual fro your car at a library.

The brake lights are pressure related, or the emergency brakes are not fully released. Or, simply the switch has gone a little whacky. If you are sure your brakes are not dragging. (Start the car up on level ground, take it out of gear and see if will free roll a short distance) Then don't worry about it or put a piece of tape over it. It is'n hurting anything.

check the operation of the small electrical brake switch itself; usually located on, or near the pedal arm, or on the master cylinder. Make sure it deactivates when the pressure is removed from the pedal.

sounds like the brake light switch is stuck. The switch is under your brake pedal.

There will be a switch on the brake peddle, have a look and see if is is stuck. You will have to get your head right down to the floor to see it. Mind you don't break your neck!

no longer susceptible to be a fuse, as that could reason lighting fixtures fixtures to fail, no longer stick on. i might wager it somewhat is only the brake easy swap that's the two caught or desires a splash tweak to alter it.
