i own a 2000 mitsubishi galant and i have a problem. i took it to a shop because it was squeaking and they told me that everything that was bad was the front crossmember-front right lower control arm, strut, knuckle. i looked under the car and i noticed that the lower front sway bar link bushing bolt with nut is scraping the drive axle causing it to squak when ever i turn compleatly. i know that all these parts are damaged but just what parts are only necesary so that the cars link wont touch the axle. i dont care if other parts are bad i just want for the link and axle to stop touching and causing to squak when i turn

That is a problem. The shop may have overlooked the sway bar link. You may have to replace the strut because the sway bar link mount may be bent on the strut. My experience with Mitsubishi cars is that if something is going wrong, fix it before it takes out the whole car. Mitsubishi's are great cars but you have to keep all the maintenance up to date and worn parts replaced or the damn thing will fall apart.

Replace the sway bar link to stop the noise.

What parts are necessary? All of them.

If your vehicle has been in a wreck, which I can only assume given the damaged parts you listed, DO NOT drive it until ALL the damaged components have been replaced.

You should care if the other parts are damaged. Your life, and the lives of people that share the road with you, is at risk. All of the abovementioned components affect your ability to control your vehicle while hurtling down the highway.

Save yourself a huge hospital or your family a huge mortuary bill.

Suspensions are funny like that. If you only fix part of it, the worn parts will cause the new stuff to fail. How did this damage occur? In any case, suspension parts very rarely wear out but when they do its just all bad. I recommend fixing it all. Sorry about the bad news but just keep in mind that it's a safety thing for you and everyone else on the road.

fix it now or fix it later. pay a little now or alot later. best to get it all fixed now but do shop around for best price. your safety is not something you want to mess with at high speed
