some of the rads in my house dont have valves fitted to them,how easy is it to have a go myself?

Have a go at what? If you mean installing valves to the input line so you can control them, it's not easy on old rusted pipes. You'll probably have to replace considerable plumbing.

Are you referring to pressure relief valves? Check first with the company that made them! As certain types have inbuilt pressure relief, and you could do an untold amount of damage if you start drilling when they don't need it! Check first! Just to be safe!!!!
