1 how much does a flywheel cost me and when i get it put in
2 will they have to take out my Engine?
3 do i have to get a new flywheel installed before the new starter goes in?
4 do they have to be installed at the same time?
5 what is the price range for such labor? What for only flywheel installation?

How do you attract so many idiots?
Once you get the old starter off, you can see the flywheel teeth. Then you can remove the spark plugs and hopefully turn the engine manually to inspect the teeth.
They usually drop the transmission to change the flywheel. That's a lot easier than pulling the engine.
A new starter might fix it. It's hard to know if they just said the flywheel was bad on a guess or they saw broken teeth.

Flywheels are not real expensive, labor is what is expensive. They will not take your engine out, they will drop your driveline and move your transmission back just enough to get the old flywheel out and the new one in. The starter can be in or out when the new flywheel goes in it doesn't matter. If i was you i would put the new starter in and get whatever life you can out of the old flywheel. On a 2000 vehicle i have a hard time believing that you need a new flywheel unless something strange has happened. You could do all of the work yourself before lunch if you wanted. Whoever told you that your flywheel and starter were both bad should have told you all of this.

It's best if you have flexplate/flywheel and starter damage, to replace both at the same time, and since the starter has to come loose to remove the flexplate the labor should be for one operation only. The flexplate. The transmission has to come out to gain access to your flexplate and labor ranges from 6-8 hours on almost all transmissions. Flexplate/flywheel should be around $30 for an aftermarket. Good luck.
