I have a 12 volt lead-acid battery, wihch says is rated 5.0AH/20HR. I tried hooking this up to a 1.5amp/12v battery charger, and the charger said the battery was full. I know it's not charged because I measured the volts with a multimeter, and it said it .5 volts. Is this battery beyond being able to be charged?

"If the battery has gone bad, or extremely low on acid, then it will show fully charged on a charger, yet have no power for you to use."

Is there any way to rejuvinate this battery? Why does it show as fully charged? It is a sealed battery, and I cannot add water to it.

The battery is sulfated. It doesn't draw any current when you put the charger on, so the charger thinks it's full. It hapeens when you run it all the way down a few times You need a new one.
