I have had to replace the master cylinder and vacuum booster on my 2001 Mazda Tribute 3 x's in last 4 months. First time was result of a vacuum leak under the dash. The leak was found at the vacuum booster where comes thru the fire wall. The last two times have been due to the brake light warning lamp indicating low Dot 3 brake fluid. When inspecting for leaks each time it was determined the fluid had filled the vacuum booster. Was able to find full of fluid by removing the vacuum line and looking through the 1/2 hole. Each time I have replace both vacuum booster and master cylinder. The master cylinders each time had leaked via the connection to the vacuum booster. Fortunatly the supplier has warrenteed the parts but I am just getting tired of changing them. I had checked the vacuum at the booster to be around 21". According to my manual that is within spec. Also the vehicle can set over 24 hrs and still have a strong vacuum at the booster indicating a good check valve. Any Suggestion

I found this leak a couple months ago thinking the trunk was left open by accident. It has happened more recently with number of storms and heavy downpours we've had. The water sits with the spare tire leaving no easy way to remove it. And the smell is terrible even on the inside of the car. PLEASE HELP

I have a 1988 Jeep Eagle Premier XL and one morning it just would not start - I've checked everything. The starter cranks up, there's gas, all plugs are fairly new - it must be something wrong with the electrical system. Anyone experienced this - any solutions????? Thanks

little volkswagon jetta with a 4-cilinder, i just wanted to know if i could fit a v-6 or tdi diesel engine in there without making any major modifications. i would much rather put a diesel in there and convert it to a biodiesel, but either way would be cool. thanks

Is there a way to just get a clear coat added on top of the already finished color? For example, my car has it's original paint job, still pretty shiny, but I was wondering if you could add a coat of gloss to make it that much more shiny. Anyone know, how about the price?

Now the cd player went off too. I had my neighbor plug it in. The codes were P1605 and P1491. I know that they mean Vacuum Cut Valve Bypass Valve and A/T Diagnosis Communication Line, but thats jibberish to me.

My '98 Kia Sephia recently started making a very low-pitched rumbling sound coming from the exhaust, the engine also appears affected as it seems to be operating on very little power, or as if its very old.

I tried to look it up on google and this is pretty much all I found
_____________

Rumble - a low-pitched rhythmic sound.

Defective exhaust pipe, converter or muffler.
Worn c.v. or universal joint, or other drive-line component.
Possible bad tire.

Do you agree with the possible causes?

I have a 2001 dark blue Mustang. When I first got it, it was brand new and the paint condition was good. However, a few years ago my sister hit a trailer hitch. No dent, but it knocked paint off on the front[about the size of a license plate]. Then I have gotten other minor scratches and one little chunk of paint knocked off the rear bumper as well.

I already know I am taking it to the Ford factory to paint it, but I want to know which is cheaper/better.

- Getting the large chunks fixed and removing all those scratches[theres quite a few all over the car] Also, how do they get those out?[side question]

- Repainting it in the same color

- Getting it painted a whole new color[black]

What's the price difference for all 3[approximately] & what should I do?

Hi, ive just passed my test and have been driving my car which is a Hyundai Accent Coupe | made in 1996.
The problem is sometimes when i push the clutch down it gives no resistance, like a broken pedal bin.
When this happens i cant change gear, ive found out i have to lift my foot off completly and then push the clutch back down.
The first time this happened was on a huge round-a-bout and i didnt know what was happening, put the handbrake on and hazards but as i didnt have Pass plates on i didnt get any sypathy from the drivers behind.
It doesn't happen all the time, but it results in a great loss of speed when it happens and i think its quite dangerous. Just wondering whats up with it?
Thanks.

The fuses are all intact. The bulbs are good. under the steering column there's some kind of switch that never make noise before but now it sounds like a blinker relay.

P.S. don't bother replying if you're just going to suggest taking it to a shop.

Hi everyone. I have a car that i need to remove the bodykit on it. the kit is fiberglass and would perfer to get it all off in one peace, but what i wanted to ask is that the skirts are stuck on with silicon gel / bonding glue. this sticks the firber glass to the metal of the body of the car. great at the time as it holds very well. I know i have to carefully cut the skirt off which is fine but this will leave some of the rubbery glue still on the bodywork. is there a solution that i can buy or use that will either remove the rubberly glue or at desolve it in a way that wont damage the paint on the car? I relise that I could pick it all off but this is very time consuming and i dont fancy sanding it down and respraying the car. any ideas are greatly welcome. thank you in advance.

Just had the oil changed and when I stepped on the gas pedal, the engine revved at a higher pitch than normal. It kinda sounds like the way a lawn mower engine does when you open up its throttle - is something similar going on with my car's engine? What could cause this?
