Now the cd player went off too. I had my neighbor plug it in. The codes were P1605 and P1491. I know that they mean Vacuum Cut Valve Bypass Valve and A/T Diagnosis Communication Line, but thats jibberish to me.

Sounds like a fuse to me. Should be easy enough to check and replace.

Next thing Home work. Pull the fuses one at a time and look closely at each one replacing each exactly where you found it. The underhood big fuses 30 amp 40 amp and 80 main fuse you can see if they are burnt Pull the 7.5 and 10, 20 and 30 amp small fuses under the hood and look at them too. Replace any bad fuses with exact amp fuse.
Now the News you have been waiting for? There has been several Recalls for that Sentra. Many times the Engine control module fails and Nissan will pick up the cost even if your over 80,000 miles or eight years.

Of course check all fuses underhood and under dash, probably not related to codes unless you have a serious electrical short. Check also by the battery and make sure connections tight and not corroded. Could also be a fusible link. good luck

check fuses first, codes could be old and not cleared out. if fuses are fine than its most likely a bad electric ground,
loose wires,corrosion,etc.
check the simple stuff first :-)

only decrease the alarm twine. wait possibly no longer it could make the automobile no longer start up in any respect i realize it may artwork on an older motor vehicle yet not sure a pair of extra moderen one so only bypass to the broker.
