this is NOT a question that I asked about it is one that I just was going through and voting on. The one with nine votes was so obviously wrong and there were 2 answers that were correct that did not recieve a single vote. the person that had the votes sounded like they were just talking out their but and had no clue about the real answer

Because we are in the "Maintenence and Repair" category, I will assume the wrong answer to which you are referring is relevant to this category.
The problem with answering a question about automotive maintenence or repair, is that the vehicle is not available for inspection. Input is based on the information you provide. If the "best answer" was flat-out wrong, then perhaps the problem was with your question. Did you omit any details? Was your question clearly stated and specific? Was there more than one possible answer?
Today's vehicles are complex and difficult to diagnose, based on a description of the symptoms. Maybe the answer really was the best choice, but in your case, it turned out that it wasn't correct.
To answer the second part of your question, I don't know about there being so many dumb people out there; is nine really such a large number of people? And if the answer was really so obvious, why did you ask the question? If you didn't know the answer, doesn't that mean you are as "dumb" as anyone else who picked the wrong answer? No disrespect intended; it just seems a logical conclusion to me...at least, more logical than concluding that someone created nine accounts just for the sake of voting for the wrong answer, and fouling you up. I like to think most people are just trying to help; after all, it is free advice! Good luck!

i have seen some wrong answers get good votes too,but its what the people believe in i think that counts, and who knows they might be wrong in your book but to the other people they might have looked right, good luck.
