If it overheats while driving, you have a circulation problem (could be thermostat, blockage in the radiator, collapsed radiator hose, etc)and if it overheats while idling, you have a cooling problem with the air flow passing through the radiator fins (fan rpm). Its rare, but could be an impeller in the water pump.

I didn't notice that you said your car was overheating.
The answer to your question is no.
Anti freeze is ADDED to a water based system to prevent your radiator and engine from freezing in the winter.
The anti freeze also raises the boiling point of the water, supposedly. A water pump neither needs, nor receives, any lubrication from anti freeze. Water pumps have a mechanical seal and a sealed bearing, which need no lubrication.
Anti freeze is also added to keep your heater core from freezing.
The cooling for your air conditioner is contained in your heater and will freeze the heater core if anti freeze isn't used.
I have only once seen an impeller fail in a pump. Many years ago plastic impellers were tried for some reason. I got one in a new vehicle and it failed. The rebuilt pump that I installed had a metal impeller.

It will not "cause" it to overheat, but it will cause it to boil sooner, if your cooling system is marginal. Coolant raises the boiling point up to 250 or more, with the aid of pressure in the system.
Using water only will cause the system to start rusting very soon.

Nope, it shouldn't make a difference in the temp of your car. I don't know where you are from, but I would suggest you not run straight water this time of year. We have already had our first freeze.

no it wont make it overheat. water pump/thermostat/cracked head or bad head gasket will. water will just rust your system and also freeze in the winter and wreck your motor. Or you may have to just flush your radiator.

Not usually unless theres a problem. Its not good for it tho..... doesnt lubricate your water pump properly, and water causes rust in the system if theres too much.
