I know this sounds retarded, but what are the small side windows that open by rotating called? The one's that typically get broken out when your car gets broken into? I need to replace one but have no idea what to ask for. Thanks.

I have an 87 Jeep wagoneer that wsa given to me a month ago. I has always been very reliable but I couldn't get it started today. I turn the ignition and nothing happens. The power doesn't go on either. Could it be my battery? I noticed some courosion on it. I thought about trying to jump it but didn't want to touch the battery with the courosion and such. Any ideas?

I know these repairs can be a bit pricey, but is it easy to do for a DIY-type with some tools?

What does the process entail?

Thanks!

We have a street dune buggy that has a gas smell coming out somewhere. There is no leak, but is a hose bent over under the dash. Is there supposed to be a vent on the gas tank?

Here’s what’s going on, sometimes, for no apparent reason, my car wont start. I turn the key, I hear the fuel pump engage, all the lights are on but it just wont start. I had the ignition switch taken out previously and was going to replace it as I was having this problem before but the auto parts guy inspected it and stated it was in perfect condition and just suggested I clean it which I did. Had it placed back into the vehicle and it worked fine until yesterday. I was at the gas station and turned the key and it just wouldn’t turn on. Kept turning the key back and forth and on one of the tries it started . Turned it off at my house, tried to start it and nothing. I just can’t figure it out. I mean, If it was the battery, it would have never started. Same thing goes for the starter. Any Ideas??

I guessing it is part of the frame of the vehicle that looks like an A but wanted to know where to look for it on my vehicle and how it looks. I took it in a couple days ago to a repair shop and was told that the surrounding of the bolt that the A-Frame rested on was rusted and that the best option was to replace the "A-Frame" instead of welding it? Anyone ever had good results with welding? Thanks in Advance!!

I have replaced the water pump, therm., temp sending unit, and now my car is over heating. The car did not overheat prior to this. I had the distributer out of the car at the same time, and I think my timing could be off. Could this be the cause of my problem????
Thanks

A used car was purchased by a college student and had Jiffy Lube do an oil change at 40,000 miles. Her car now has 60,000 miles and car breaks down. AAA tows car to Toyota service dept. and mechanics determened that the oil filter had loosend up and lost all of the oil. The engin may have seized and could cost 4,000 dollars to replace. Our guestion is, can Jiffy Lube steal be held responsable for this oil filter backing off even though it has gone past the recomended 3 month or 3,000 miles oil change. We live in California and would appreciate any help.

i pulled the covers off the fan relays and they aren't actuating. whether the motor is warm or cold, i get 12 volts across the coil terminals on the relay plugs when the key is in the running position. jumpering the contact terminals makes the fans come on. replacing the relays doesn't solve the problem. i get around 70 ohms across the relay coils in both the new and old relays. i'm totally stumped, as all the electrical readings seem normal to me. since i can make the fans come on with the jumper, i can also rule out problems with the fan motors.

Changed gas..let idle close to hour. Could still smell yellow (bad) gas somewhat.Maybe the fuel pump. I need some ideas and appreciate your help. Thank You
