Voltage surge when you thought you were doing a good deed and jumped off some one in need. your dash lighting was on and when the other car started output to output bulbs saw over 18 volts slight flash of brightness a long time pulling your dash to replace bulbs. Of course you can carry a mini mag light and turn it on to see how fast you are going.

check the dimmer switch, if you pull the switch out of the dash there should be at least 3 wires running in or out of switch. make sure you headlights are turned on and engine running. use a circuit tester or ohm meter to check each wire, one should be the power feed from the fuse box and it should always have power, one should be a ground and have none, the third should be feeding the bulbs and should vary with the knob position. if your not getting any power go back to the fuse box, replace the fuse weather its good or not then check for any additional fuses or relays in the engine compartment. if your getting power to the switch but not out of the switch replace it and check your grounds. if you have power in and out of switch you'll need to pull the gauge cluster and check for burned out bulbs (unusual to lose all at once) or burned out wires and double check all your ground connections. just a warning on the gauge cluster, its a pain in the *** at best, some cars require the steering wheel to be pulled, if this is the case take it to a body shop or dealer, you dont want to be messing around with the air bag.

the quick blinking is how the vehicle tells you all the bulbs are not likely. If the blinker and tail gentle are both out on one part, it truly is basically about particular to be a foul floor cord on that fixture.
