Visit some junk yards that deal with newier year cars, then look for a honda of that type. They usually use same manual for differnet cars. You can also go to the local dealer buy one.

Put "1996 Honda Civic owners manual" in a Ebay search and look. Leave out the "LX" part in the search as it will limit you too much. No doubt you will find a few used ones for sale for such a newer common car. Don't pay more than ten bucks or so for a nice one, and take into account postage too.

My daughter had a 1996 Honda Civic EX, until I bought her a new Accord, but I'm not sure whether she's sold her Honda or not, and I'm not sure if you could use an EX's owner's manual for what you need it for, but, it was a thought. My wife just told me that you can write to Honda and get one for your car, even as far back as a 1996. She said it'll cost you, but, you can get it. God Bless you.
