yep dead battery, put new one in, clean corrosion on the cableswith baking soda and water mixture, and when you get it cranked have the alternator tested to see if it's charging properly. Oh when replacing the battery, always remove the negative cable first , and put it back on last, and always wear plastic gloves and eye protection when working on batteries

If you are gettin no power, I would try cleaning the battery terminal. You can go to an auto parts store and but some or use soda. Then after it dries I would try to jump it. If that doesn't work take the battery in to be tested. If bad buy a new one. If that's not the problem I would check the starter sylenoid. I have an 1985 Grand Wagoneer and mine went bad. It cost about 8 dollars and was really easy to change myse;f. It only took about 5 minutes. Good luck. Just remember I had the same problem, my battery was bad too so I had to do both.

It is not making connection with the corrosion. Unscrew the battery cables. Do NOT touch them together. Take some steel wool or a wire brush, or they make a spray at an auto parts store, that will clean the posts and cables. Replace the cables when clean and tighten securely. They should not be able to move. Very simple and no/little money used! Good luck!

First to get that corrosion off is pour some Coca-Cola on it . Next, rinse it off with plain tap water. Dry it off with paper towel. Now put your battery cables to it for a jump start.
Also check your spark plugs and make sure the rubber cap didn't come loose and no power passing thru. Above all, make sure your battery terminals are secured properly.

It could be as simple as a dead battery that needs replacing. If cleaning the terminals doesn't help with starting then it's probably
needs replacing or charging. Before purchasing a new batt try asking the person to load test yours and see what the results are. Good luck with your repairs!

your battery cables are corroded, and you need to clean them. They sell a little tool at the auto store for about $2. and it works like a charm. They can show you how to use it, or they may even do it for you. And if it doesn't start after that, have them check the battery and then the alternator...
