Bad wires or leaky distibuter cap,,if it just misses and sputters more likely wires if its a total cut off more likely cap,,or another short in the wire harness,,check wires and cap first,,u can see leaky wires at night in a dark place ,start motor and look at the plug wires u'll see the sparks running up the wires if they are leaking

Well it is definitely electrical. The quickest and easiest way is to check all electrical connectors in the engine compartment. Check for corrosion and repair if necessary. Also check the rubber seal on the connectors. It could also be in the ignition system. Be sure to check the plug wires and other related components. I don't know if your vehicle has a distributor but if it does you may have to replace the cap as well. If that doesn't produce any results then you will have to find a good, trusted electrical guy

it probably has a cracked distributor cap on it,,this will cause it to draw moisture ,,and cut off,,also a bad set of plug wires will do this too,,i own a repair shop,,and have had a lot of them in for this same problem,,basically you need a really good tune up before winter time gets here,,if its doing it now,,its going to get worse once cold weather sets in,,good luck with it,,i hoe this help,s.

attempt putting the hood lower back on. Spray! all your engine electric wires with silicone spray to water evidence them from moisture. Drain the gasoline tank! positioned on a sparkling gasoline cap. feels like water is entering into the gasoline tank, upload a bottle of STP gasoline guard into the gasoline tank. Later replace the gasoline clear out.

You have a cracked in the distributor that is causing the engine spark to ground out.
