Last week I had the cover off of the fusebox to replace a 25w fuse for the "power plug" in the van. After replacing that fuse, i noticed the battery warning light "on". This was not before, but after. It actually did completely drain 2 batteries within 2 days, and finally shut down(not within walking distance either, lol) I can recharge batteries, but it appears that the alternator is just not working at all. Haven't had it cked yet, is it a coincidence, or did I accidently short a fuse that affected this? Is there a wire under the hood that i can check before going to expense of replacing alternator???? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

The car was recently serviced and a new starter was put in. That was 2 days ago and I've driven the car a number of times since then with no problems. Now the engine cranks but the car won't start. I tried spraying starting fluid onto the air cleaner, and when I tried to start it immediately afterwards it felt like it was going to start (although weakly) but I couldn't get the engine to rev and it just konked out. Please help!

thanks

OK, I heard that there are sets of 2 wires under the dash, like, 2 green, 2 blue, 2 yellow, and all you have to do is find the 2 wires that have no match up and cross them. is this true?

Upon the mechanic driving my car they noticed I had a leaking radiator, and now that needs replaced. Do you think installing any of the above mentioned things caused this? My car has never leaked before and now there is a small puddle on my garage floor. I have a Taurus.

I don't know the terminology here so I'll try... I drive a manual 5 speed. Connected to my shifter handle is a rod, that rod is connected to a mechanism that holds it tight (the cable runs inside it) so I can shift. That rod has disconnected from the mechanism, so now when I try to shift into 2nd, 4th or Rev instead of pushing into this mechanism the rod misses its mark and I can't shift. I'm pretty sure the rod is supposed to be attached and I'm only supposed to me boving a piece that slides inside it. What kind of repair am I going to need and how serious is it?

These were getting popular on diesels a few years ago. Have they made it to cars yet. I would think being able to affect the inner volume of the turbo on the fly might make it build up pressure faster.
