I have a 2002 chevy malibu with a bad transmission but i have a new 2003 malibu transmission.

Physically, probably yes.

Computer wise: maybe not. Call the dealer and ask the parts department if the two trannys have the same part number.

as jeepnuk says.. best bet would be a tranny shop or dealer.. someone who would know the differences... some are different some aren't..need to ask around

the only people that have that type of interchange information is junk yards there special books and dealers dont have them
