i have a nissan truck and i just replaced the throttle body..but the engine revs up and down after 3000 rpm..it kind of revs then cuts out then revs and cuts out anyone know what is causing it?

it may be the rev limiter which would be normal

I don't know what year your truck is but it probably has something to do with the computer. Take it in to Canadian Tire or someplace that tests computers and spend an average of $25-30 for them to tell you exacly what the trouble is. Then fix it or put up with it. Or could it be air conditioning?

it is the throttle positioning sensor if you changed the throttle body you either didnt plug it in or didnt put it on or something it is on the throttle body

why did you replace the throttle body?did you replace all gaskets?check for vacuum leaks and loose nuts and bolts.good luck.

sounds like your transmission man. That happened to a guy I knew and like a week later the transmission dropped out.
