OK if you can figure this one out then your a genius. Two nights ago i caught some guy trying to hot-wire my girl's 99' Hyundai Elantra. He got away. i looked under the steering column and he cut a black wire, a red , and a green wire. My girl's brother is an electrician and he reconnected all of them. But now the car wont start. We know its not the battery because the A/C works. Radio, console, everything electrical works. But it wont turn over when i try to start it! It will just crank and crank but wont kick over. I checked the fuse box for the cars engine system. All the fuses look good-not burned. But oddly enough i pulled out the clock fuse for the hell of it and it was burned out. I think that when the thief cut the wires it tripped some sort of security feature in the car. I'm hoping we wont have to take it to Hyndai techs to fix this because we dont have alot of money right now. Does anyone know how to fix this?

i have recently had the alternator replaced and now when i first crank the car there is a really loud squealing noise, after letting the car run for a couple minutes the noise stops..

i was recommened a spray for belts but its not working..

what could it be or what should i do???

could the belt be to tight or lose, or is there something else i should put on the belt??

its a 1984 buick skyhawk and please don't tell me to buy another car..

I bought a new, 2006 Toyota Tacoma, Red. WHen i bought it, in the deal,he said that they would touch up a piece of chipped paint from the bumper which is about 2 centimeters long and one wide for free. So i after talking to my dad, he said that hes had experience with this, and when they touch it up, it fades sooner and chipps off again,i asked the service guy if they can take off the bumper and just repaint the whole thing. He said thats so problem it will only take like one or two more days. When i got it back, they only touched it up, you can still see the black of the bumper where the chip was and now, they didnt whipe off all the wax in impossible areas when they re waxed it,theres a black mark on the side of my car which was not there before. What should i do now,I need to get it repainted and i dont think i can trust them again, b/c they lied stait to my face, twice. Also, can i get it for free at another toyota dealership or their sister ones? its Toyota of Orange im dealing w/

Hi, I just got my car a coolant flush at a local auto shop. When I got home I decided to look at my nice shiny green coolant in the reservoir..When I opened the cap I discovered the same smell and look of the dirty dark green coolant in the bottle...was i ripped off? Arent they supposed to drain that too?

construction work is going on across the road from my house and, at times, on the road itself for at least a year now. my car, which is parked on the driveway, collects a layer of dust every single day. so to keep my car clean, i either bring it to the car wash or spend my own precious time washing it. can i get monetary compensation from the construction company, the city, anybody?

I just bought a used truck from a friend and the gas gauge is broken. So I fill it up all the time so I don't get standed. But how do I calulate how many miles I get per mile without a gas gauge that works...HELP please. It is a sierra GMC 1992. I know the milage won't be good but I still need.

my husband tried installing a water pump and a thermostat on my k-5 blazer, and he took it all apart and put it back together. now theres this horrible skreeching noise when i turn it over. it goes away after i put it in gear, then comes agian when i push the gas, then goes agian after about 5seconds. is there something seriously wrong? i dont want to break his heart and tell him i think he messed it up, but i dont want my truck to blow up or something.

I just purchased a 2000 ford taurus. When I got it the air worked perfectly. after about a week, its performance has been detrating. Any suggestions? Could the dealer just filled up the air conditier and it has a leak? any ideas on how costly it will be to fix?

I have a 2001 ford mustang gt My car turned off yesterday and when I turned it back on it said check engine. AutoZone told mt it was the crankshaft positioning sensor and I changed it but after a while the light came back on and the sensor got messed up again. What could the problem be?
