That "supercharger" is actually a marine bilge vent blower that some unscrupulous guy is pretending is a supercharger. They are not meant for use as superchargers or compressors at all. Chances are that the 2.1 psi of boost he's claiming would be at zero cfm and the 500 cfm is at zero boost.

A real electric supercharger would need all the precision - and all the expense - of a belt-driven one, plus a motor between 5 and 60 hp depending on the application, a geartrain that can spin the supercharger up to 60,000 RPM or more, and some major wiring upgrades. Not cheap at all.

About the only budget friendly short cut to getting boost would be to adapt a junkyard turbo (or two) to your motor. And take it from someone who's done that sort of work: You'll pay for that in terms of time.

Those things are junk. Do not buy it. That is basically a hair dryer motor rigged up to blow into the intake. But the thing is, it does not force near enough volume into the intake to make ANY sort of difference. Actually if you opened your hood and showed it to anyone that knew anything about engines... they would laugh at it.

thats not a super charger, I tend to think its a gag.
A super charger is a compressor and that is clearly a squirrel cage fan.
A turbo charge is a very high speed fan like this one but I talk a rotation speed in the 5,000-10,000 rpm range and these run off of the exhaust gases.
I'd say don't do it.

Personally I think it'd be a waste of money. 12volts can only go so far, and I believe your not going to notice any power gains at all.
