A friend of mine has a 96 corsica. We were simply trying to bleed his brakes and have run into a problem. We are able to bleed the front no problem, but the back we get nothing but air. We replaced the master cylinder which was clogged andit was no help. We disconnected the lines and entire system and blew it clean, STILL NOTHING. The cylinders are not seized or anything so we cant figure out why on earth we arent getting any fluid to come through. Any thougts?

I have been looking for a turn signal switch for my mitsubishi eclipse and can't seem to find the part, I'm wondering if perhaps there may be a special "mechanic's" word that I can look for to help me out?

I have fuel getting to the fuel injectors the fuel pump and fuel filter are good ive put in 3 new injectors and still nothing. I can start the car with starter fluid going directly into the throttle body but runs only for a few secs. I know its a fuel related problem but i dont know where else to look. Also i know three is a way to get codes from the check engine light but i dont know how to get them with fords. I know with chrysler you have to turn the key over 3 times but not the same with fords if you know how please let me know how. Thank you so much

The nice fella at AutoZone just scanned my check engine light and here are the results: P0441: Evap Purge Flow Fault; P0446: Evap Emission Control System Vent Circuit Malfunction.

He basically explained that I should take the car on a long highway drive (been there, done that) or replace my gas cap -although we both agreed that my gas cap seems tight. All in all he said the light is not a big deal but my car will not pass inspection next year if the light's still on.

I'm just gonna buy a gas cap (and if that fails go to mechanic). But can anyone out there provide more insight into these codes and pinpoint what the problems might be?

Hey,
I bought my car about 2 weeks ago and haven`t got the kerb lowered. As a result i am beginning to feel the tyres need more air. The thing is when ever i go to a petrol station i don`t know how to use those things.. I always end up worst off than i previously was. In other words lose more air from tyres. Does anyone know a way i could put air in and could u please guide me through it as i am useless i once even punctured a whole car tyre in the process. Maybe i need advice from a man as men know better when it comes too cars.
Thank u xx

The handle snapped off when I went to open the door and I am not sure what I should do to fix this. It is an older model pickup truck and the handle was cheap plastic(I am sure it is not going to be so cheap to fix!!) The truck does not belong to me and I would like to get it fixed ASAP, any suggestions and price guesses would be appreciated.

One day, my car would not start. I had it towed to a mechanic and they said it was the distributor cap and replaced and gave me the car. It seemed fine, but the next day after broke down on the highway. The engine just cut out, and I could not start it. I waited about 20 minutes and the car started. Brought it back to the mechanic and said just needed to re-tune it, however I am currently having the same issues.
(basically car starts up fine when cold but as soon as it warms up, it starts bucking at higher rpms and will then shut down and will not start until it cools off.) There is no indication of it overheating. The car is 10 years old with 190k miles so I don't want to spend a lot of money on it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

There was nothing wrong with it when we stopped using it. I suspect I should change the oil and flush the radiator before trying to start it. Anything else? Thanks -

I just got the front brakes replaced on my car. From the shop I drove it 20 miles on the freeway. When I got off and was stopped I noticed they were smoking (not bad, just a little) then I parked and they were still smoking a bit. Is this normal? Is my car safe to drive?
