I have fuel getting to the fuel injectors the fuel pump and fuel filter are good ive put in 3 new injectors and still nothing. I can start the car with starter fluid going directly into the throttle body but runs only for a few secs. I know its a fuel related problem but i dont know where else to look. Also i know three is a way to get codes from the check engine light but i dont know how to get them with fords. I know with chrysler you have to turn the key over 3 times but not the same with fords if you know how please let me know how. Thank you so much

If it's a 1996 or newer crown vic, then you need an OBD-II code reader which can be purchased from Actron for about $100. Actron is sold through local auto parts stores. As suggested above, you really need to attach a shop fuel pressure gage to the fuel injection manifold (Schrader valve) and keep an eye on it as you troubleshoot the problem. Is the fuel pressure holding up to 35 to 40 psi or so? I guess your sure you have a good strong ignition spark at a spark tester.

PS Make sure you reset the safety fuel cut off switch in the trunk that keeps the fuel pump from running in a rollover accident. My 1992 crown vic safety fuel cut off switch tripped on me once when the car got bumped. '92 was the first year for the modular 4.6 engine and it uses the EEC-IV computer interface connector in the engine compartment on the driver's side fender area.

call autozone for the way to get the codes. Sounds like you have a cpu problem or an oxygen sensor failure. try pulling the battery cable off for ten minutes and then put the cable back on. Now try starting the cv. If no luck try replacing the O2 sensor. LOL

try spraying some throttle body cleaner into the throttle body, the jets might be all gunked up.(this is one of the cheaper fixes). also get some Lucas Upper Cylinder Cleaner and put it in the gas. It works like a charm..

what year? speed density or mass air? 5.0 or 4.6? If its mass air and you have the intake pipe off, it wont run. the ecu needs to get a good reading from the mass air or no signal at all for the car to run. if its speed density, make sure you plugged the vacume line back into the map sesor. check your ignition module too. weak or intermittant spark could be messing you up
