you can change the springs but use the one from a 6 cyl. not a 4 cyl.and you want to change the shocks you will want something shorter from a car or the shock wont allow it to drop make sure you have enough clearance for your tire not to rub and if this is a small truck that is 6 cyl then you can use 4 cyl springs do not cut off your springs if you do they will not stay in place

Put everyone on your street in the back and in the cab....tee Hee Hee...That should get you a couple inches. I would cut the front springs and buy the cheap leaf spring blocks for the rear....check ebay

If you heat the springs, they will compress but they will lose some of their properties. If you cut them they will be shorter but still have all of strength , or if you want put in shorter springs from another smaller pickup with the same dia. spring.

Yea, heating will work till you hit a bump and they fly out from under you. You can get a clamp at Auto Zone to compress them or cut a coil off (not recommended)

If you like buying tires you can listen to all the other posts! if your like me and don't like to waste money spend the dough and get a real drop kit for your truck.

Search for your vehicle in google or yahoo search engine or pick up a minitruckn or trunkn magazine ... ad's all over in the magazines.
