Have an 1988 Olds that was down for repairs for a while. During this time someone left the door partially open so of course the battery died. No problem, we took it to the shop and the stuck it on a slow charger overnight. Brought back the battery yesterday hooked it up and the car started perfectly ran it for about 5 minutes and then shut it off.

Today went out hit the door locks with no problem, put the key in the ignition and got the indicator noises tried to start the car and click. Nothing else just one click and now it's dead again. Any clue what would cause it to drain that quickly overnight? No lights were on and like I said everything seemed to be fine until I tried to start.

97 Toyota Collora has problem starting during a hot, humid day, especially in the morning. I need to turn the key many times before it got started.Everytime I turn the key, I hear some clicking sound. Toyata mechanic told me there was a dead spot on the starter. But I don't see how that links to the hot/humid cause. They said it could also be the wire/plug/cap/rotor set. They propose to change both starter and the wire/plug/cap/rotor set, with a charge of $750. Should I go for both or should I just replace the wire/plug/cap/rotor set or the starter?

I'm in the midst of changing out a bad thermostat on my 1996 2.2 ltr 4cyl Pontiac Sunfire... I've found the housing for the thermostat and am ready to go as long as I can find out how to drain the existing coolant from the engine.

How do I do it?

Thank you for any help you can give me.

The second turn of the ignition it starts. Sometimes it does start on the first turn. I had the starter checked & was told it's ok. What is in between the ignition & the starter?

I have a Dodge Neon 2.0 DOHC all motor highly modified. The only thing stock is the bottom end. Off the dyno I'm seeing 179 HP to the wheels with minor weight reduction and subs and amps removed. Nonetheless I'm only getting low 14's through the quarter mile with street slicks. Not bad but not good enough. I live in Denver, and I wondering, believing that my driving isn't the issue, can altitude really take what seems like 2+ seconds of an all-motor ET?

So then forced induction... I can't afford a turbo, so 2 stages of nitrous would be what I'd do. Would two stages just suck up my gas mileage and leave me wanting more? Because I'm thinking forced induction at altitude would be extremely effective and I'd get my two seconds back if I sprayed both stages as 75HP shots...

Possible? If so, what else should I consider to make life a little faster for me? Basically I want low 12s.

And dropping the Neon isn't an option so let's ignore car choice and talk performance.
