It's easier than you think. First, you need a tachometer to watch your idle speed. Then, take one idle screw at a time and screw it in until you notice a drop in your idle speed. Then unscrew it on quarter turn at a time until your idle speed doesn't rise anymore. Repeat these steps on the other idle screw. Good Luck.

Rather than go into complicated instructions or over-simplified process, I'll refer you to the website that should be able to get you started.

http://www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2005/08/EdelbrockCarburetor/

The above link is instructions on how to fully tune a performance Edelbrock carb (this one is on a Ford) but the instructions are all basically make-model-inclusive. It had pictures and simple step-by-step instructions to help you out.

Carbeurator servicing is not simple (despite what experienced mechanics have adjusted to believing), and can, if done unsafely or incorrectly by an inexperienced individual, damage your carb and have othet negative effects on your vehicle. Please be careful and make sure you have all the tools and the time you need to get the job done. Especially performance carbs which are more intricate in their construction.

If you KNOW your issue the idle mixture, the link will absolutely help you solve your issue if your mechanically inclined and have the money to rent or buy the diagnostic tools you should use. Visit the website, if you have further questions feel free to e-mail me.

Gently bottom out both screws, then to set initialy turn them out two full turns.
Adjust your idle possition screw at the linkage.
