i changed the starter. when i turn the key for the ignition, it makes the sound like it wants to start, but wont kick over. please help. i'm changing the spark plugs today, but if that doesn't help, what else could it be?

it works right at times. but then it skips gears. the oil is ok. any ideas what it might be. oh yeah this only happens when goin 50-60mph. and also sometimes when goin 20-35mph. car is a mercury sable 1994.

my manual transmission calls for SAE 75W-90 API GL-3. I cant find that anywhere at all. Can i use GL-4 or GL-5 instead??

this is in additon to my last question. the complete brake system has been replaced the only thing original is the brake peddle. master cylinder and power booster. residule 2 lbs pressure vaules frnt & rear rotors and calibers brake lines proptoin vale, everything has been replaced new.

I dumped the 2-cycle oil gas mix from the gas tank of the push mower. Changed spark plug. Cleaned air filter. Still will not run. What now? For some reason, if pump the safety release handle, it will run for about 3 minutes, if I keep pumping the handle. Then it dies. Did the 2-cycle oil gas mix clog up the carburator? Or is pumping the safety release handle indicating some other problem?

I put a new disk brake system in my 52 ford 1 P/u and FI am am not getting a hard brake peddel after bleeding the brakes. any sugestion as to what needs to be done. I put in a Lincoln Marc 5 disk brake rear end.

My car is making a noise evry time i step on the break it sound like 2 pieces of steal grinding against each other. what could it be?. also when i make turn it makes noises... I just bought the car bout 6 months ago the breaks are fine. Maybe it needs sum oil or grease?... i dont know please help dont know wat it is..

First of all, I'm saving up for a used car (saving up about 4500-5500). I see a lot of good deals and all but I don't like a lot of the colours (especially red, I don't like red). Therefore, I'm thinking if I get a car in the colour I don't like I'll just get it painted. I'm thinking either solid black or white. How much does it typically cost to get this done anyway? Size of the car will probably be a two door, such as a Eagle Talon or a Ford Mustang.

Inside the trunk is a button that says Inflator. Actually, there is two buttons, one for "on" the other for "off".
Since I don't have the owners manual, I can't figure out what it's for. There's also a valve stem sticking up there? HELP, I'm "aching" to know what it's for.

Can I cover the primer bulb with a plastic air tight lid, then pour gasoline in the carborator to start the push mower? Wil this keep the mower running?. Will the push mower run with out the air filter?
