My 95 chevy blazer spits and chugs when you come to a stop sign or it is idling. It runs just fine when going down the road, no miss at all. I have had a new battery, spark plugs & wires, drive belt, camshaft positioning sensor, put on and i have had the egr valve cleaned out twice and put a new egr valve gasket with a screen on it. i cant seem to figure out what the problem is. i dont know a whole lot about fixing vehicles. i am a single mom with 2 teenage girls and i simply cant afford to take it to a dealer to have it fixed. can someone please help? my b/f seems to think it may be the throttle sensor, he unplugged it and it jumped up to 2000 rpms but when he plugged it back in it started to spit chug and sputter again also fell back down to under 1000 rpms. could this be the problem?

I had my vehicles worked on a couple of months ago and couldnt afford the bill. Was told that by someone that if bill not paid in 1 day that the mechanic from the body shop can come tow your vehicle away, Is this legal or do they have to take you to aourt or something first.

We have had the alignment checked out and it is fine. We were in an accident that nearly totaled it and it has been doing this since then.

It comes from underneath the shifter, and you can feel it in the pedals. it's not an axle or strut problem because they replaced those and the thumping was still there. They don't think it's a transmission problem. The thumping never changes in loudness, speed (thump, thump, thump never changes in distance between thumps), it starts right from when the car starts moving, the direction of movement doesn't matter, and the thumps continue until the car comes to a complete stop. Putting it in manual shifting doesn't change it and it's the same in automatic shifting mode.

When I'm stuck in traffic the RPM'S will go up to over 1 and the temperature gauge needle will go down below "C" (cold). It will do that in relatively rapid succession until I get moving again. If I'm stuck in traffic for a while, it starts to smell "hot". If I don't keep my foot firmly on the brake I know it will lurch forward. It's as if it senses I'm frustrated about being in traffic and copies me. When I'm driving on the open road it doesn't do that.

Replaced coolant tempature switch, cleaned the ECM prongs to car to make sure they were connected and not dirty, checked my fuses, and have had two mechanics look at it to no avail. What in the heck is wrong with the dang thing It is not old it is a 1995 Cheverlot Lumina with a 3.1 motor and it is driving me insane.(no pun intended). Help please if anyone has advise.

I have a Chevy Suburban. I started it up, walked to the back and then heard the sound. It seemed new to me. The truck had gone on a 2 mile run one one hour previous.

I disassembled the brakes to replace them and the rotors. It appears that one of the slides where the caliber fastens is frozen, same thing both sides . It is the bottomone. Is this supose to be stationary or sould it slide freely. Brakes are worn unevenly. Also why is the top slide brass and the bottom one steel.

I think that my thermostat on my Impala is faulty. Whenever I drive it, the temp bounces between 3/4 away from red to 1/4 away from red. It gets really bad when I am stopped or I am going 85 or higher. It never goes past 1/4 away from red line. I don't run a/c too often so I don't know if that system is being affected but whenever it gets close to the red line, it starts to cool itself down. I thought it was just a funny quirk of Impalas but I have asked others and they said it doesn't happen. Can anyone help with finding the thermostat or at least giving me another idea on what might be the malfunction?

The day before the light came on, I cleaned the engine at the car wash. After AutoZone diagnosed the problem, I pulled the spark plug wire and the suction caused some moisture to come out. I tried to clean up as much as possible.
