Twice now I have parked my car under some high voltage lines and it has had trouble starting in that spot only. The first time my car would not start at all untill i got a jump. This time it almost didnt start up, but finally did after turning a few times. Could the EMF be affecting my battery or starter at all? Has anyone had any similar experiences?

My car's check engine light came on. I checked the oil and it was within the normal limits, but it was below full.

So i put two more quarts in. Now it should be well above full. the check engine light went off.

So - is there a downside to overfilling your oil??

The other day I was driving down to my waterpolo tournament in Saratoga, CA and I left with a full tank of gas. Saratoga is only 45 minutes from my house and I was not stuck in any traffic. When I looked at my gas gauge again, once I arrived at the games, it was on half-empty. Is there something wrong with my gas gauge or with my fuel tank? Because I normally get about 20 MPG on the freeway, which is pretty decent for an SUV.

IF someone can suggest what is wrong with my car that would really help :) I'd rather have an idea of whats wrong with my car before taking it into the shop.

Drove thru standing water and sucked water into my air intake. Car stalled and wouldn't not restart. Took it to the shop they replaced the starter and changed the oil - drained water out of engine. Runs, but very badly. Makes a clicking noise and there is loss of power. Is there anything I can do. Guys at the shop say I probably need new heads, but they are not sure - they haven't had much experience with stupid people like me who drive their cars thru water.

I just bought a 1960 El Camino. It's great but I don't like the color. It is olive green, with violet flames. In other words it's very ugly, so I'm going to have it repainted. But I don’t know what color I should have it painted. What do you think?
