There are a lot of factors, but here are a few to try.
1. A bad ground. The power to the pump is intermittent making the pump work harder.
2. A clogged fuel filter or collapsed fuel hose/line which also make the pump work harder.
3. Cheap replacement parts from someone other than the original equipment manufacturer.

Check and see if it's a computer problem as well. Sometimes the computer that runs it craps out. We spent a lot of money on a Chev Yukon that had fuel pump problems and it turned out to be more.

Sounds like a relay problem i would change the fuel pump relays
