He has to drive on rough terrain as a part of his job. His old job required a $1 million dollar policy on him and his vehicle. His new job does not require this, but he will still be driving in the mountains. Should I keep the policy?

The car is low value, hence the write-off, and it was offered to me to keep as part of the insurance claim settlement. The car is safe and roadworthy with only cosmetic side panel damage.

I had an accident in my car in January and wrote it off, I am in the middle of claiming through my insurance company and have got to the stage where i have to send off all my documents. Ive just realised that my MOT expired in October 2006!
Does anyone know where i stand with the insurance company ? I dont know if this will invalidate my insurance totally or if they may give me a lower settlement, or if I will be liable for the cost of the car and the damage the car caused in the accident. I dont think this can be that uncommon, but i do advise anyone to check there MOT is in date because worst case this could cost me thousands !!!!

Husband was injured in car accident in Jan 2007, serious injury to arm, finished with dr's appts. and physical therapy, ready to settle. How long does this usualy take, and how much is good settlement? All dr's bills and hospital bills have already been submitted. Do make a settlement offer first or let them and work from there?

One website estimated with dr's bills and lost wages, about $24,000-$47,00. Does this seem right? I was thinking about $30,00 because of the permanent scarring abd stuff like that but i have no clue.

My wife was involved in a road traffice accident. She had just pulled out of a corner road and was facing on coming traffic and was ready to do a right turn when a car came from behind her and try to over take due to the speed but ended up pulling in to early and cliding with her car. The insurance company is now saying that if the fault was her's then they would seek to have the repair done on the other drives car. The biggest problem is that the other drive did not have any insurance but my insurance company seem to think this does not matter. I would like to know if this has happen to anyone or where I stand on this? Thank you

say you leave work or school or wherever you have to park on the street, not in the parking lot. when you come out to leave you are sandwhiched between two cars with little room to get out without hitting either car. how would you get out if you dont know who the cars belong to? say either car was damaged, are you responsible for this? just a thought, this didnt happen to me.

I can
1. Do defensive driving course (costs about $130 total)
2. Fight the ticket
3. Pay the ticket $120

This is actually my first ticket. So, I'm looking to hear others experience with the above. ie how much would my insurance go up if I paid the ticket and didn't take the course? Anybody have any luck fighting a ticket?? Thanks!

We were notified recently that our umbrella insurance policy was being dropped becuase I received a DUI in 2005. I am thinking of switching my driver's insurance policy to another company so my family can continue its umbrella policy. Therefore, being insured at another company leaves me without the extended coverage. Should I take out my own umbrella policy? Any thoughts or suggestions? Thnx.
