Insurance & Registration - January 2007

We live in nc. A few days ago My husband and I were involved in a car accident, the lady drove thru a red light and hit us as we were turning she was going pretty fast. The problem is that I didn't have insurance on my car. Am I going to have to pay for damages done to my car eventhough she was the one that ran thru the red light?

I have a vehicle for sale that I still owe on and once I sale it I can pay it off ,What Im wondering is what do I tell the person buying Vehicle and what kind of Contract do I need to write up for that person so they know Im on the legite .Of course I dont have title till vehicle is paid off and the finance company siad it would take 7-10 days for tittle to get to me once its paid off ,Any suggestion

I purchesed a four door sedan. If seems as if the car was involved in an accident--it was a dealer demo---I never asked and
I never was told that is was but certain things in the vechicle appears that it could of been. Isn't their some regulation that it should of been disclosed prior to purchase if such was the case? I was checking to see if I can find out without asking the dealership?

I was hit from behind just over 2 years ago, my car was totalled and i had significant soft tissue damage (back, neck, arm and hand) and spent 5 months in physio therapy, also suffered post traumatic stress disorder and had to see a physcologist. I was considered not at fault and the driver that hit me was charged with careless driving. I was paid accident benefits from the insurance company to cover my lost wages however they are now saying they have overpaid me and I owe them money. Can they do this? They received all the paperwork they required to determine the payouts so how could they have overpaid? Do I ignore them or will they cancel my car insurance?

I had 8 months left of our Lubrico warranty I purchased the car in Aug and it was stolen in December. Should the insurance cover the two car payments as well which I had to continue to pay until they offered us a cheque as settlement?

she was making left turn without able to see oncoming traffic, was hit by handicapped elderly lady driving with hand controls, police sited my doughter for not yilding, no one hurt. my car totalled, financial los with previous repairs and value off my car approximately 5.000 box, doughter in school steadying court reporting,two more years to go, i'm retired, hopeless.!!!!!

early in the morning, it was raining and i was going 65 on the left lane. I saw a piece of wood or some similar debri and i tried to avoid it. In doing that, i hit a puddle of water which lifted the tires on my car. I hit the mid divider, and spin out of control then i rolled down a cliff. I'm lucky to be alive. It was my fault, i have full cover insurance so will my car get fixed.

I'll be moving to California in several months. I've been looking on Craigslist for Jeep Wranglers and it seems they are at least a couple thousand dollars more expensive. I was thinking about buying one here (Boston) and taking it out there to save some $$. But someone told me I'd have a lot of troubles getting it registered and passing emmission standards in California. Is this the case? Will I end up spending a lot to get a non-california car prepped for California emmission standards?

I'm crying and praying I need help I'm going to loose it I feel like I failed, my car is impounded because of stupid me didn't fix my license now I'm totally lost and confused, my boss gave me a bonus and I was going to use it on my daughter and I now I can't because I got to pay the dumb impound fees and police why is I such a failure I just hate this life why me? funny that you say you are in the insurance business in Florida... This is where the break in occurred... the car was locked... We are not from Florida, but I was just wondering about police report procedures in FLA- can he just go to a police station to do so? does he have to call and have someone come out? or can he just file it on the phone, and be mailed something? He can't call his insurance people until Monday so we won't know exactly what the policy covers... but there's apx $3000 worth stolen... he's very upset... (more upset that all his spreadsheets/excel files are gone... no dollar value on those!)

i was just in an accident in the state of illinois driving my moms car. the accident was my fault. i went to change lanes and the sun blinded me and i did not see the car beside me. minor damage to the cars. i found out my moms car has no insurance on it. what will happen to me? i have to go to court for my improper lane usage and failure to provide insurance but now i find out she has NO insurance so when i go to court what will happen? will i go to jail? and for the fines, will i have to pay that day?

If i get into an accident and it is not my fault...do i have to report it to my insuance company if it is greater than 500. Also will his insuarnce pay for everything or do I have to pay a deductible. Does the other driver pay a deductible since his car has no damage? Help a little confused?
