Your liability will pay for the damage to the woman's car that your daughter hit.

Since your daughter was at fault and you carry liability only, you are SOL (sh*t out of luck) regarding the loss to your own vehicle.

By declining collision and comprehensive on your own vehicle you chose to "self-insure" for your own vehicle damage.

You may be able to sell your vehicle to a local salvage yard. The salvage yard will then cut the vehicle up and resell any parts which are still usable. The salvage value on a 91 Dodge Spirit won't be much...you may be able to get a few hundred dollars for it.

Of course, your daughter (or you) could always get a part-time job to earn money for a new car.

If that's not possible and you are unable to borrow money or get a loan, then I suppose a bus pass would be in order.

Sorry for your luck. Next time make sure your vehicle is fully insured.

Your insurance will pay for the damage done to the person she hit, up to the limits of your policy. She will have to go to court on the tickets she received and if found guilty will have to pay a fine at the very least.

The damage to your vehicle will not be covered. When you turned down full coverage and collision, you essentially said "If the car is damaged and it's my fault, I will pay for it myself."

Do talk to your daughter about the importance of NOT turning left until she is completely sure the road is clear though.

Two more years of school to be a court reporter?
How long she been at it?

Seriously, she needs to get a job to replace your car. You may need to think about a part-time job yourself.
I hope it works out for you.

If she has her own car insurance turn the claim into them for payment under her collision coverage. Otherwise, you're outta luck.
