i am so dissatisfied with my previous car insurance company. they just tried everything they can to rip me off. i wonder:
1. where i can go to file a complaint: i will describe how i was mistreated by that insurance company.
2. also, what agency that give a rating to insurance companies? can i contact them to tell them about my story.
i think we need to support good insurance companies. for those bad apples, we need to let the public know. thanks

Ok so here goes last night me and my friend were out and about with our two seperate cars going to pick up people to go out to Boston for the night. Unfortunately there was a incident. My friend and me while on a side road picking up friends got into a accident with each other but who is at fault for this? I was already in drive with my foot on the brake in the middle of the street in my car waiting to go straight ahead my friend was about 25 feet ahead parked at the curb. Just as I started to go ahead thinking he knew to go straight as well I realised too late my friend decided to pull a 3/point U turn in the other direction causing me to smash into his rear driver side quater panel of the car with my front bumper as he was sideways (think roadblock) in the street and I was driving straight ahead. My car a 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis is not damaged his car a 1999 Toyota Solara got really extensive damage to the quater panel driver side. Who is at fault for this :(!!!!

My fiancee totalled our jeep last saturday. But the guy driving the car that hit her (who has admitted fault) wasnt on the insurancefor the car, BUT the insurance company has already taken care of our property damage. They dont have anything and it wouldnt help us any to sue, but what can we collect? They had the bare min. liability insurance in FLORIDA, what is the max payout on that? Can i just ask for that amount and pay our med bills out of our own pocket? They are really eager to deal with all this, and seem to want to get the personal stuff tooken care of. This guy was at fault, and the insurance agency has accepted fault.

ALSO if he isnt covered on that insurance, can i claim on my uninsured motorist on MY insurance too?

Happy Thanksgiving everyone rough night for two friends last night. We were both going out last night in two different cars. My friend was parked on the side of the street and did a u turn while I was already driving straight ahead on the street hitting him in the quater panel behind the door as he was across the street making the U-turn. Unfortunately there is a lot of damage to his car 1999 Toyota Solara and none to mine 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis we are stumped who is going to be at fault him making the U-turn in front of my car or me hitting him while driving straight ahead on the street. your opinions!

My husband and I separated last December. The registration document is in his name at my address as it has not been changed. If I am the policy holder, should I be the registered keeper as I am the main user? I use it 90% of the time and he has is 10% when he takes the children out. Would my insurance be invalid if I have an accident and should I get the registration document transferred to his new address? Do my insurers need to know that we've separated and he no longer lives with me? So many questions - sorry!!

The first offer was ridiculously low, I refused..5 days later I was offered $300 more, which is still too low...this was yesterday, he left the offer on my answering machine first thing in the morning...by 1'oclock, I got a call from the car rental place that they had just recieved a call to lapse the rental as of 6pm that day...day before Thanksgiving, real nice, eh? So I took the rental car back. Now this guy has nothing to hold over my head. Just yesterday I had 5 messages on my machine demanding I send the signed title and repeating the "new settlement amount" as he called it. Should I stick to my guns if I really feel Im being treated unfairly? Can he withdrawl the offer and lower it based on my refusing to accept it? Is there a time limit, either for him or for me, that this has to be resolved? The accident was a clear cut case as far as the other driver being at fault, she even admitted it in her statement and was ticketed for failing to drive on the correct side of the road

A guy hit me after I stopped once I entered his lane. There was heavy traffic, and everyone was moving around 1mile/hr...He took off, I got his liscense plate, and went to his insurance through mine, however they are refusing responsibilty saying I made an unsafe lane change....at 1 mile/hr, is this possible? I signaled and everything. His insurance refuses to look at pictures of damage, I don't know what to do, they also wanted witnesses, which I couldn't get since I was too busy trying to get his liscense information...my insurance seems like they could care less one way or another. What options do i have, and does he really have a case??

anyways it was a long trip, 6 hour drive. but i was pulled over for swerving alittle. they asked me to get out the car and man have i never taken so many tests. cuz they wanted to see if i was drinking or on anything. asked me loads of questions like last time i smoked pot. or have i done xtc. and so forth (which i was on nothing). was pretty tired at the time. so i maybe did some of the test poorly from lack of sleep. but positive i passed the breath breathalyzer. but after so many test and questions they didnt tell me to come with them or gave me ticket or anything. but since i got pulled over is that recorded anywhere. so next time if i do get pulled over they will see i have? just wondering cuz it was the first time i ever got pulled over and have done those kinds of test.

My car was rear ended and totaled and I understand my ins co won't pay for the outstanding loan, but will pay me a fair market value (which I will use to pay off the loan). Is it possible to have the other party's insurance company pay off my loan, so that I can use the FMV to get a new car. Do I need to obtain a lawyer to do this or will my insurance company do this for me? The accident happened in Los Angeles.
