My car was parked in front of a friends house on the street. A van took the corner too fast and slammed my rear end. Extensive damage to my vehicle. The driver then backed up and pulled away. I do have full coverage, at $1,000.00 deductable. What are my chances of recovering the deductable?

My Brother in law had me fix a hot rod for him. He never paid me, and is avoiding me, he is also recently divorced from my sister. He has abandoned the car at my house. I want to keep the car or sell it since he owes me $3500 for the work I did. Is there anything I can do in Indiana, I'm lost here.

I just moved to California. I was told I have 10 days to register our vehicle. The problem is, the car is registered in my wifes name and she's living with somebody else. The current registration expires the end of this month and therefore I won't be able to drive it after that.
She says she doesn't want the car but she won't give me the title so I can get it registered.
What can I do?

I bought a new car on hire purchase. I was offered Gap Insurance on it for £135 I think. Basically if the car is written off in an accident the insurance company will make up the difference of the financial settlement my car insurance company will make on a written off vehicle i.e. if I owe more on finance than the vehicle is worth at the time Gap will make up the difference.

Also I wrote my previous car off in an accident and the first question my insurance company asked me was is the vehicle obtained through hire purchase. That vehicle was not but would it have made a difference to a settlement if it had have been?

I really mistrust the advise of car sales advisers. Thats why I'm asking here. They tried to sell me a payment protection policy. I challenged them that the cover offered was a complete joke. The girl said she should'nt be telling me this but she fully agrees and that they are rubbish.

1st question

The other driver hit me and admits to her guilt and promised to pay for everything. However she said that since she is paying for the damages that she is entiteled to pick the repair facility which doesnt go over well with me. Isnt it up to me were the work is done?

2nd question

I drive an older car, a 91 accord which doesnt have a whole lot of body damage but a cracked radiator, air compresor, smashed alternater, and even the electrical system is fried. Does that sound more like a totaled car. And if yes, who determines the amount it is worth?

I have a jeep that has no non-op on it and has not been registered for 7 years. How many years is it until DMV starts over so you don't have to pay all the back fees on it? (7 or 10 years, ect...)

Today I am involved in an accident while delivering food.

I aleady know that insurance company does not cover property damage of a vehicle while being used by a person while employed or engaged in the business of delivering. However THIS ONLY DELIVERY I MADE WAS JUST HELPING OUT MY BROTHER ON SAT. WHILE HIS PIZZA STORE WAS BUSY AND I AM NOT EMPLOYEED BY HIM. I honestly told the claim rep that I was on delivery but I've being told by him that I would probably not get liability coverage under this situation. The claim was made but it is still waiting for decision.

The insurance company is PROG****VE

What should I do?

My friend jsut recently recieved her driver's liscense. She said she only had to take the driving test, NOT the written part. But, I've been told that I must take a written and a driving test. But, when I took a driver's ed calss for summer school, we had a final at the end, does that count as the written test?

Flat bed paving truck, there is not a registered license plate on this truck at all. The company logo plate is on the front and the rear, as well as a John Deere license logo plate in the rear window. It just bugs me. His family's company is well known and used in this small Tennessee town.

I had whiplash injury after a crash, someone hit into my car. It lasted two weeks, and then got much better. I didn't see a doctor, because I couldn't get an appointment over thanksgiving. Also I just moved here and my medical insurance isn't though yet. I think I'm recovering fine now. But - what should I do for a medical claim from the insurance? Do they ususally offer compensation for this sort of thing? Do I still need to go to the doctor (which feels daft because I'm getting better), and I don't really want to shell out doctor fees (or take up doctors time) if I don't need to. What should I do to get some compensation? It did hurt so much!

My car was rearended; the person who bumped into me got a ticket and their insurance company are going to pay for the damage to my car. At first I thought I was OK, and the insurers said they would give me a cheque for $100 just because I was in a crash, and was not claiming medical expenses. But after five days, my neck began to hurt...and hurt...so much that I could hardly turn it. Over thanksgiving it was really painful. I haven't been to the doctors yet, as it was thanksgiving. It feels like muscular pain, and I think if I do go to a doctor it should be either an orthopaedic doctor or a chiropractor. Yet now, after a week of hurting an awful lot, my neck is feeling a lot better.
What should I do about the insurance? Do I ask for a payment (a bit more than $100 seems justified after all this), or do I wait and see a doctor? Or go to an attorney? If my neck now gets completely better, what is the best way to deal with the insurance? I can't tell now whether or not it will.

I just got a parking ticket while driving someone else's car. Will this affect the insurance on that car, or the owner's driving record? I do not have my own insurance coverage. I'm in Somerville, MA. Thanks.

This is a long question, try to answer as much of it as you can. Thanks.

I recently bought a car, the owner signed the title of to me and i drove the car home. Two days later i used the car with a plate registered to my other car, no insurance, no registration and i have no license. The police arrested me and took the car, i only recieved careless driving and driving without a license. The other charges were reported to the old owner of the car. I do not know what to do right now. Can i go register the car in my name right now and everything would be fine. What should i do right now to get out of this mess. THanks. PLease help me as much as you can.

Going to get some new plates, as old ones are in poor condition, and MOT coming up. What's legal these days? Have found a dozen sites on the net that let you have numerous logos on the side, different texts/fonts, borders etc, but what are you actually allowed?
