It depends on your state and the model of scooter, IE the size of tires, etc.

Some are illegal except on private property and legally considered "toys". some locations allow their use every where as long as traffic laws are followed. some states require helmets , and have age limits.

There is a special law allowing for for electric assist bikes but they have to have working pedals, and top out at 20mph max.

Search google for your state and city and electric scooter. Research the hits for your location.

The US is much friendlier to electric bikes than e-scooters; might want to consider them.

I think in the UK you will need a licence to ride this as its under power, like milk floats have to be registered and has a class for electrical on your driving licence. Its like mowers that cut the grass verges have to be registered to go on the road.In China they don't register them but still need training on them i know i have to face them every day most still don't understand the danger of this type of powered bike i am a British Guy living in China. You should get onto the DVLC and ask them they will probably say if its under power you need to register it and need a Motor bike licence plus do the CBT training course before you can ride it any wear in the UK.

I don't know what your state or country's laws are but here in Pennsylvania in the U.S. they're illegal. In order to be on a PA road they must have an inspection, title, insurance, and plates. The only place you can run `em here is on your own private property.

relies upon on the regulation interior the area you will use them in. a brilliant style of the states interior the U. S. do not enable them on something yet private property on the grounds that they don't seem to be approved and don't have the needed protection kit to function on the roads.
