I have a 2006 F-150 with a V6 gas engine (I didn't get the V8 because of gas prices), its a good truck and I like it.
The only thing that I don't like about the is, ther's no diesel option. I know Ford has small 6 cylinder diesel engines, they use them in Vans in europe.
So why don't we have the option in Canada.

I know what people are most likely thinking, If you wanted a diesel you should of got a F-250 or F-350 and the answer is
I don't need a big 6.4L engine why pay for power you don't really need (I need a truck, but I don't need that much truck)

Hi, I'm trying to persuade my mum to buy a Renault Mégane as she's looking for a car. She really loves them and we found a perfect one with cream leather, glass roof etc. but unfortunately the sale fell through. I'm continuing my search but would just like to know what they're like to own. Thanks.

OK I am 13 and my parents said if I spend time and learn about cars and how to repair and fix them up for fun they will buy me a FORD MUSTANG!!!

And I am not talking about a junker, I already picked out a :

2003 Mustang red convertable :
has 55,000 mi.
6 cylinder engine
leather seats

And what I want to know is if there is any good books or sites out there that tell you about cars ( many ford cars ) and parts and how to repair them and stuff like that. OR if you have any info that you know tell me!!!

best answer gets 10 POINTS

For those who own one, can you tell me the good and bad (hopefully none)? This is going to be a birthday gift. I know I can't complain, but I still need to get sold on it.
Thanks

Hey, I have a 2004 Dodge Ram.. well about a month ago I was rear ended pretty hard, just tailgate damages, but still driveable. I did not get it serviced yet or repaired. The other day I was driving and my truck went dead. I took it to the shop and they said there was no oil, and they want receipts. The advisor said the cam was welded to the cam shaft.

Now.. for that to happen, would it be caused by no oil or could it have been caused by being rear ended pretty hard?

I've popped out the old wheel stud on my front driver side and slid the new one in the hole (w/o taking the hub apart). I then screwed my wheel nut (or lug) and tightened it as much as possible to pull the stud through the hub hole (like most people say to do). This is partially working, but its doing more damage to my wheel nut than pulling the stud back through the hub hole, i feel like i'm going to break something because i'm applying so much force into this dinky bolt. Any other ideas? I can't take apart the wheel hub yet because its held together by a gynormous nut that i do not have tools for.

Its been a while since anything has been posted, so i might as well post one of my problems. I was having a no spark problem with my 64 6V beetle. I changed the condensor and points and got it going. I let it run and everything for about 15- 20 minutes and drove it out of the back yard. Down the back alley and signalled to turn and lost all ignition. There is no spark again and the condensor is dead im suspecting. Any ideas on what would short out the condensor??? Could it be the coil? I just put a new one from NAPA. The thing i dont get is why did it happen when i signalled. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I have a 1987 Ford Ranger 2.9 L V6. It has 253,000 miles on it. Here's the problem:

Sometimes when I step on the accelerator pedal my car doesn't accelerate. We have replaced about 95% of the parts on this vehicle. We first thought it was a faulty sensor and we soon found out that the computer will only tell us that the sensor is plugged in...not if its working properly. Here's what I have replaced:
Fuel pump (exterior, I have one in the tank that was replaced at 175,000 miles)
Fuel Filter
Spark Plugs
Distributor
Spark Plug cables
Throttle Postion Sensor
Air Charge Temp Sensor
Coolant Temp Sensor
Map Sensor
O2 Sensor
Idle Air Control Sensor
EGR Sensor
Computer
New Engine and Transmission

We think it might be the fuel pressure regulator but we are not sure. When we tested fuel pressure it showed it was normal. Also it likes to do it when the A/C is turned on. The car is getting fuel, I don't know if it's getting the correct mixture or if it's cutting out.
