haha, that last answer was pretty sweet. i dont normally read long answers but that one caught my attention and never let go. its true though, it almost doesnt matter how much money you have(unless you pay some guy to do it all for you) , if you dont have the smarts to know yourself, then it just isnt gonna happen. and if your goal is a 7 second car without even knowing what engine you should get... you need to just forget about this 7 second bologne and put in a 351 windsor, those are extremely popular and easy to tune, then go from there.

Step 1: Buy 1983 Mustang - cost $1500-3500
Step 2: Buy headers, aftermarket heads, intake manifold, mild cam and 670 Street Avenger Carb and all the little bits you need to have a reasonable little street car- cost $1000-2000
Step 3: Run Mid-14s due to lack of traction
Step 4: Buy Mickey Thompson ET Slicks
Step 5: Blow up T-5 trans launching it after 4 passes
Step 6: Gut car, backhalf it, cage it, install 4 linked 9" rear with 4.11 gears and a built C-6 - Cost $6000-7000
Step 7: Drop in 408 crate motor built of unobtanium to stand up to 9000 RPM passes OR 514 big block crate motor. Realize that this power will tear your car clean in half unless you reinforce the frame. A lot. $15000 - 17000
Step 8: Trailer car to track. Run an 11 second pass. Scratch head.
Step 9: Tune
Step 10: Trailer car back to track. Run a high 10 second pass
Step 11: Tune
Step 12: Run car again. Blow the tires off, run a mid 12 second pass.
Step 13: Build new suspension - $7000
Step 14: Run a low 10 second pass
Step 15: Get fed up. Buy 400 horse two stage direct port shot of nitrous.
Step 16: Run car again. On a high 9 second pass, nitrous solenoid hangs, engine blows past rev limiter and breaks the head off a valve. Time for a new motor. Race season is over. Sell car. Start again at step 1.
Long story short, going fast is a factor of either ingenuity or cubic dollars. Going 7s in the quarter takes a big wad of both. Hell, turning 7s in the 1/8th isn't all that easy. More than I have, for sure, and based on the way your question is phrased I figure a lot more than you have too.
Anticipate spending a bit more than $100,000 to do it and not die in the process.

Start from the ground up. You can have the most horsepower in the world but it doesn't mean anything if you can't get it to the ground. A working chassis and suspension is just as important as a powerful engine. I'd go with a turbo stroked 351 Windsor, probably around 400ci or so. It's a proven combo, that's my .02.

This quite is composed of only the united states. endure in strategies that this could be a international communicate board. i individually do not understand what's "terrific for our us of a" inspite of what regulations are being handed. i'm undecided that society is accustomed to the two, yet we do our terrific. that doesn't mean that we could desire to continually not grow to be politically lively, yet we could desire to nicely known that political interest could desire to in no way be constrained because of the fact of a guy or woman's direction. case in point, it could be in basic terms as undesirable to tell an atheist or agnostic they had no precise to be politically lively because it could a Jew or a Muslim or a Hindu or a Christian. The announcement of Independence, which all started this finished government element, is quite clean that society at great (whether you, I, or everybody else consents) instruments the regulations and establishes the limitations of the regulations that govern the rustic. as a result, it quite is society, via their will, that imposes its will on each and every physique. If we don't love what's occurring, or has got here approximately, then it quite is our accountability to grow to be politically in touch with the governing technique and settle for what maximum folk regulations, whether we like it or not. and that's good, undesirable, or detached.

you could buy a Pro STock car or build your own, using either a big block or it's been done with small blocks and turbos.
