Sounds like heck doesn't it "Tidia" that is why Nissan went with Versa in the USA too. Good car however we only get the 1.8 liter gasoline engine with either auto or CVT trans and six speed manual gear boxes.... It has lots of parts in common with the Renault Cleo... Imagine the boy's at the club look at my Tidia out there in the parking lot. The will still be laughing...

There was no demand in the UK for the Almera hatchback, and even less for the saloon. Nissan in the UK have decided not to import the Tiida (yes, it really is spelt with two "i"s, to properly romanise the original Japanese syllabaries) as yet, but may do so later if there is some demand. Instead all market effort is concentrated on the Qashqai.

In some other countries (including Ireland) the Almera was still a strong seller, so Nissan have decided it is a worthwhile investment to introduce and market the Tiida as a direct replacement for the Almera.

The Tiida is built in Japan and Mexico, and is badged "Versa" for the USA market.
