I was told it was the u joints and just had those replaced but the noise is still there. It seems to happen more when the tires are warm Any ideas as to whats going on?

I know its not the transfer case...that was checked and its fine. These tires are only less than a year old (Bridgestone Dueler A/T)...

I would just add details to my previous question, but my browser does not support it.

My intake manifold runner control is either stuck open, or not opening and closing properly. Where do I look to see if it is moving?

I want to buy a used Land Cruiser, and have seen mileage numbers ranging from the 100s to 200s. My question is to find out how many miles a Toyota Land Cruiser(preferably from 1990 to 1995) will run before encountering serious problems.

Plus, how many miles per gallon do the old land cruisers get?

I own a Mustang II 1974 v6 2.8 and its overheating bad but not allways!!?? I put a new water pump 2 cooling fans, new thermostat (188-195F) put anti freeze 40% check fot blown cyl head gasket, hoses r ok and is still overheating. My mechanic says i need a maybe new radiator because it might be blocked but i dont think so because if i remove the thermostat the engine is freezing whoch meens water cyrculate.2 thngs are strange: 1 some days temperature is stable in the normal limits and others becomes a volcano after 5miles open road and winder time.Second if i toutch with my hand the radiator when is overheating the upper half part is very hot and the bottom half is completely cool! Also when overheating and i open the radiator cap the fluids r boiling and a lot of steam comes out for minutes.Someone toldme i must bleed the system from air! Could that be and how i can do it?

has anyone had any problems with the tire system? my mechanic said there was something wrong with the rims...the guy @ the chrysler dealer said it was something i did (of course). it's under warranty but he's blaming me and telling me it's not covered. the "tire system needs service soon" light is on constantly. anyone have anything like this?

Duramax Diesel 2002 Chevrolet 2500

Started the truck this morning, ran for two minutes then died. Has power, turns over and is not giving me any computer codes. No dead fuses either.

I took off the fuel filter and it looked all good, I put it back on and primed it (When it's primed all the way the nipple on the bottom of the filter leaks, I imagine this is a normal overflow).

I have a feeling that the truck won't run because of something to do with the Fuel Filter sensor but I'm not quite sure, any ideas?

Any time it rains or snows, the truck loses traction and it starts to spin out of control in the back..is there any way to fix this with weight or do I just need to start over with a new, better tractioned car?

Was looking at cold air intake, but it seems that only a true high-dollar, filter outside the engine compartment CAI would be effective. Heard that using a "tornado" insert and a regular K&N air filter would do better for increasing performance and mileage than an under the hood CAI pipe and filter. Also have heard tons about "chip" upgrades. I know I want it all, but I truly want to increase performance, as well as mileage, and DO NOT want to have a grapefruit shooter exhaust. Those things are pathetic. You've got to be able to get performance and mileage some other way. I've done brakes, rotors, starters, plugs, alternators, and other minor stuff on cars (can follow Haynes with no probs), but nothing for performance.

For the record, I'd be extremely happy with 2-6mpg increase and 5-10 horse increase, but don't want to sacrifice one for the other.

Also, best brands info would be nice, as well.

Thanks in advance!

This is a duramax diesel 2500

Theres a nipple on the bottom of the fuel filter, when I prime the fuel filter it leaks out the nipple, is this normal for overflow or showing that there is a blockage near the injectors?
