Get the engine tuned up. Put a chip, bigger performance exhaust, higher PSI injectors, on it. This will help you get started on improving horsepower for your ranger.

Put a turbo on it, you can get the whole engine cheap at a salvage yard from a Turbo coupe Thunderbird, 84-88
