I was told it was the u joints and just had those replaced but the noise is still there. It seems to happen more when the tires are warm Any ideas as to whats going on?

I know its not the transfer case...that was checked and its fine. These tires are only less than a year old (Bridgestone Dueler A/T)...

Just drive faster than 30 and make only right turns.

As Ross Perot would say ...

long story short, problem solved!

This may be caused by a defect in the tire or a badly worn spot. You can inspect the tire for anything not looking right with the sidewalls and treads.Sometimes a weak spot in the tire can cause a bubble in the sidewall.Better still.Just replace the tire with your spare and see if the problem persists. If it still occurs. Then it may be a suspension or drive link problem with that side of the vehicle.IE: A defective CV Shaft. If after you change the tire and the problem has gone away.Just replace the tire with the correct tire size for that side.

Definately the tires. Either they are out-of-round from the factory (happens more than you would think) or balanced incorrectly, or there is some other manufacturing flaw. Out of round or a flaw are the most likely culprits because balance issues USUALLY show up at mid-high speeds rather than slower speeds.

loose bolt's perhaps ,on the strut mounts,or a nasty strut. i might want to examine the nut on the strut the position it truly is fixed on the mount positioned on the right the front fender properly ,it might want to have a plastic cover on it,and also you merely pop it off and tighten each of the bolt's on the mount then the only nut for the strut. Then it may also be a knott on your tire examine the air pessure in it and perhaps have lower price tire or some one to envision it out for ya. I have considered this problem some situations and merely concept i might want to share it with ya.,,,,,,,,

You've got a bad tire. To prove it, switch the front tires. I'm betting that your "bump" will move with the tire.
