I want at least 425 hp in my 350 4 bolt but hopeing for 450 hp in it. How can I get that much easy without blowers, superchargers, and without having it bored? Wanting pure muscle. What kind of intake & size cam should I go with? I'm building a 1982 Chevy C10 short wheel base steet truck with a 400 turbo transmission. Need to know what size wheels & tires to use. How much do you think I probably need to spend?

I bought a 2007 Mustang and it is Windveil Blue. Its the V6 because its alot better on gas. It has the white door rocker stripes that say mustang. I was wondering if it would look good or not with racing stripes and what color do you think would look the best. Thanks for any advice.

my parents gave me a car and i have been using it for quite a while. im a new driver and i dont know much about cars. I have a simple question.. please dont bash me.

anyways, there was one incident that my steering wheel locked after parking. its like for anti-theft thingy. How can I set it to lock position? and is it effective? I was able to lock it but not intentionally. I tried experimenting on how to lock the steering but I failed. Any ideas?

I have a 1998 3.0L V6 Sonata (Australian right-hand drive, Y3). Is someone able to check on their car for me, does the high pressure hose that comes off the top of the power steering motor (on the passenger side) connect to the front hole, or back hole, on what appears to be the steering link age, coming through the firewall (on the drivers side)? Thanks.

I just bought this car a few days ago. I am now hearing this humming/whirring noise. You can't really hear anything till you get over 40 mph. It seems to be louder in the rear of the car. The sound reminds me of when I rode in a pick-up truck that had those huge mud tires. The tires are brand new, but an unknown brand. Could it just be these cheap tires, or maybe the bearings? Someone told me it might be something wrong with the suspension or the struts. (It is Honda Certified, plus I bought a 1 year warranty)

I've heard everything except the actual cause. When I start my car when it's cool outside, the car makes a lous screeching noise when I accelerate. I usually let it run to warm up for a while.

When I do accelerate and the noise starts it's very loud and seems to be around the radiator. It usually slowly dissappears as the thermostat raises to warmer temps.

It's a 1989, and most of the time I'm told by mechanics "hey man, it's old it's going to make noise." No kidding.

What is the actual reason for this noise and any quick fix-it suggestions?

thanks!

I have a '97 Dodge Intrepid. I have been experiencing only semi-warm, and sometimes even cold air coming from the heater ducts even after the engine is up to operating temperature. However, on the recycled air side of the selector, I have consistant hot air, but that portion of the selector does not give me the option for the defroster. Any information that could guide me in the right direction to repair this problem would be greatly appreciated.

I commute from Buffalo to Rochester for work 3 days a week, so I'd like something thats all-wheel-drive with decent gas milage. I need it to be dependable even after it racks up a lot of milage and has to be an automatic. I don't really want to spend more than 25K, and I'm looking at either new or under 15000 miles.

I just had my transmission replaced in my 06 sentra SER SPEC-V because it would grind from 1st to second everytime. Diag at the dealership showed something was amiss (thats how they said it) so they just replaced the whole thing under my warranty. I just got it back today and it still is making the noise. Could it be something Im doing? I havent driven an automatic for that long so maybe im shifting to high? Can you do that? To me it almost sounds like is not engaging. I've made sure so hold the cluch down long enough and give it the right amount of gas. Also it never makes the noise on a downshift.
thanks for any help!!

My 93 Ford tarus stalled during idling at stops(Traffic lights). This behavior is not consistent. However during idling rpm goes down very low and picks up. There is sqealing noise along supentine belt. I have shown it to mechanic at a reputed store. They did diagonsis the engine ($90) and said that no error codes are found.
Every body says that they need $100 for diagnosis. Please help by providing possible causes.

I'm buying a car in a few months and I've narrowed it down to the Prius or the Honda Element. I'm a sizable gal, however, and I don't know how much interior room there is in these vehicles and I haven't had time to visit a dealership to test drive them. Do any larger folks have either of these cars? Do they have lots of room inside? Are they comfortable side to side in the driver and passenger seats? (And please, keep any rude comments you might have to yourself.) Thanks!
