Hi, I have a 97 VW Polo which when kept in the garage overnight starts fine. However when i leave it overnight outside and its cold and there is moisture in the air its a nightmare to start. When eventually it does start it misfires until she heats up. I have replaced the HT leads and plugs and checked the distributor cap but this has not helped, any ideas

the battery emptied several times (3 times since purchase 4.2006). we changed the battery the first time around. then it emptied again, so we had to jump start it. recently, when i start the car, i noticed difficulity in doing so as if there is not enough power in the battery to start the car! then, it seized to start at all several days ago; however, lights and all are still workiong fine. so later, i tried to jump start it AGAIN but it wont keep running what so ever (it would start but it stops right away). what do you think the problem is? is it electrical leakage? or some other problem? please help coz car dealers in this country are un trust worhty and a bunch of theives...i wish i was in the states...

oh by the way, i contacted the service manager and he claims that it must be my mistake (that i keep one of the lights on!!!). i havent taken it there yet. i will as soon as they pick it up.

The patient, 1990 Ford Aerostar Van. with a 3.0L V6 with fuel injection [EFI]system.

Symptoms:
<>Hard to crank when dead cold. Like it is not getting gas. You have to pump it and on about the 3rd time it fires.
<>From the top of the gas pedal stroke to the middle it acts as if it lacks fuel.
<>From the middle of the gas pedal stroke to the bottom it acts as if it is flooding(sometimes a gassy smell can be smelled from the exaust and the engine compartment.
<>Max speed[level road]about 30-35mph.
<>Max speed on hill or grade steeper than 6% 15mph.
<>Often stalls while idling or reversing.
<>After reaching normal operating temp. if the ignition is cut and the van sits for more than 3 minutes, it will not refire for anything until it cools off to near dead cold.

So, you crack Ford mechanics. Who is good enough to figure that one out?

Last night, I posted a ? asking why my truck (96 Ford Ranger) seems to leak radiator fluid while my truck is idling and with the heat on. Idling+no heat=no leaking. Idling+heat on=leaking. The heater core seemed to be the most popular solution. I'm not getting any odor in cab, no wetness by the floor board, and my windows aren't fogging up when I start my truck. So I read my Repair Manual about replacing the heater core, and it's a bit more advanced than I'm willing to experiment with because of my aptitude (but have friends that probably know how to replace). Anyways, today when I started my truck up, I noticed a little bit of fluid coming out of some part that I don't know what it's called. From the heater core, there's 2 hoses that connect with this device and then there's 2 more hoses coming out the other side which leads to radiator, is this called a "cowl" or "blower motor", my book doesn't have a picture of what these items look like, only explanation what they do.

I have a '97 S10 V6 with the 4L60E electronically-controlled tranny. Is there a floor shift conversion for this? I don't like column shifters.

I am trying to find out what year a truck is. I know its either a 2005 or 2006. I looked in the door jam and it doesn't say the year. Is there anywhere else to look for this information?
