First of all I don't have one. But I've heard that the car is quite good. The only problem with it (not just the A170, but all the A-Class 168 - I'm not sure about the 169, and the B-Class) is the sandwich concept engine/gearbox.

A small service like replacing the spark plugs is quite a feat as the engine needs to be partially removed in order to gain access to the plugs. Some other engine related services are the same.

Therefore the dealer might charge relatively high amount for seemingly small services as it takes quite a long time.

Good things come in small packages, but there are drawbacks!

Have fun!

I like MB but the A class was designed by Chrysler so its crap. And there ugly. I'm guessing you in Europe sine the a class is only offered in Europe, so I would recommend a BMW 1series or a VW Golf TDI
