I am trying to find out what year a truck is. I know its either a 2005 or 2006. I looked in the door jam and it doesn't say the year. Is there anywhere else to look for this information?

Open the hood. Around the radiator frame on the top should be an emissions sticker, it has the year of the vehicle on it.

Registration , have the Vin checked at the dmv and I.D. Tag under the hood on fire wall and the stickers under the hood will give emission date that the vehicle must comply to for that year truck many ways, DMV Lic # and they will type it in and tell you first date sold and what month or the dealer with the vin code just over the phone very easy, good luck

Look at the vin #. The tenth digit from left to right is the year. If there is a 5 in the tenth place, it is 2005. If there is a 6 in the tenth place, it is 2006. Worked in law enforcement before and had to know this.

all you have to do is open your door, all that info, year, make and model, should be on a tag on the door frame of the drivers side door, along with weight and tire pressure, manufacturing date and sometimes listing factory options and color. (usually called a data plate)
