I'm buying a car in a few months and I've narrowed it down to the Prius or the Honda Element. I'm a sizable gal, however, and I don't know how much interior room there is in these vehicles and I haven't had time to visit a dealership to test drive them. Do any larger folks have either of these cars? Do they have lots of room inside? Are they comfortable side to side in the driver and passenger seats? (And please, keep any rude comments you might have to yourself.) Thanks!

you would have an extremely hard time not fitting into any car on the market, outside of maybe an elise or smart, and maybe a miata.

neither should be an issue. This assumes youre under about 6'4 and 450 lbs.

I tried out an Element, and was amazed how much room it had. Not necessarily the "coolest" looking, inside or out, but very practical. I'm 6'0, 220, with long arms and legs. I'm wide through the shoulders, and often hit doors, A-pillars, etc., but not in the Element.

No experience with the Prius.
