I work in a garage, and I see quite a few ford vans. in my opinion, they were not very well made, I would personally stick with Dodge for a minivan, they are just a better quality van. For the record, don't think I'm knocking Ford. they are my favorite automotive company. I drive a Ford. Just they're vans arn't very well made. Dodge is the only way to go. they last and are dependable, and will start in any weather, unlike many of the imports. If it drops below -20C we have the entire back of our shop filled with imports not starting.

If I were you, I would forget the Fords. They are humdrum. They did not sell too many. People did not really want them.
I have a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport. I bought it used, mainly because Dodges don't hold their value that well. The purchase price was less than half the cost of a new one, after being only three years old.
If you want something reliable, and are willing to pay extra, Toyota minivans are the best, by far.

The '95 to '98 model year minvans were fairly problematic. But from about 2001 onward, they have been relatively flawless. If you want an excellent deal, you can pick up a brand new Freestar for about the same price as a Focus!!!

Dodges drive a little better than the Fords, but the Fords ride better.

Yeah, stick with Dodge. We have a 2001 Dodge caravan and its very well made and dependable. My grandparents in Florida have owned 2 Windstars, a 98, and a 01, and each of them have all had electrical problems. they really aren't that well made.
