Car Makes - December 2006

It's a 1997 5DR Hatch Manual 1.5 MPI.There's plenty of charge in battery; has spark and fuel. Diagnostic test this week failed to show cause. I have been told to disable the immobiliser as this is the problem. Car is now unreliable as I don't know when or where it will fail me again. What is wrong?

I have an 04 Neon SXT with a 5-speed manual,SOHC,2.0L and I was wondering if I can put an SRT-4 Turbo on it without having to worry about anything not hooking up or working correctly.Also I dont care if the turbo was to be stock or aftermarket,but I will most likely put on a a stock turbo if it was to work.

Can someone tell me what my horse power is for this motor, it is all factory. the people that think they know it ALL keep saying , you must be wrong a 4.9 has to be a 8cyl. Ok... I know i should have got a v-8.... but really, 5 hp and 25 ft lbs of torque difference between a 4.2 and the 4.6? I'm looking at either a cold air system and either a 3' single or 2.5" dual exhaust. I'm not too sure about a chip (heard that it's good for diesels... not much change for gas)

I just pick this car up. I have a lot of ideas going through my head about what I want to do with it. It has a 383 motor in it. I plan on using it for a summer cruiser. I am not sure if I want to build the motor up more from stock then it already is or not. I do not plan on racing it but I would like to have an occasional burn out and scrap with someone once in a while. The stock motor is pushing 340 HP already. Should I build it up a bit more to say 400 HP? Or just leave her the way she is? I would like input, thanks.

I surrender. Where does the flasher kit go? It's not the fuse. It's not the switch. It's the flasher kit. I've checked Chiltons and gone on-line and asked friends and co-workers, and we've scoured the car. Anyone know where the flasher kit goes? Brake lights work, signals don't. Fuses are fine. Anyone? The speedo works part time along with the tranny not shifting too. I know the transmission depends on the speed sensor for shifting so I replaced the speed sensor but no luck. Then a month later heater is cuttin in and out along with radio. The car in question is a 1999 Monte Carlo with the 3.1 V6.
